Witold M.Orlowski, professor of economics, Rector of the Vistula University (Warsaw), chief economic advisor to PwC Polska. Member of the National Development Council of the President, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum in Warsaw. Former economic advisor to the president Aleksander Kwaśniewski, member of the National Development Council of the president Lech Kaczyński, and Economic Council of the prime minister Donald Tusk.

Studied at the University of Lodz and the Harvard University. In the period 1993-1997 at the World Bank. From 2001 until 2005 the chief economic advisor to the president. In the past also Dean at the Business School of the Warsaw University of Technology, advisor to the Chief Negotiator of the EU membership of Poland, Special Advisor to the European Commission, member of the Macroeconomic Council of the Minister of Finance, consultant to many international and national bodies and organizations. Author of 11 books and 200 scientific publications, popular economic commentator and columnist of major Polish newspapers.
